After the Supreme Court approved of Sushant Singh Rajput’s case to be transferred to the CBI, the special investigation team arrived in Mumbai on the 20th of August (Thursday) and are residing in Santacruz at the DRDO guest house.
CBI Superintendent of Police Nupur Prasad is leading the investigation and has divided the special team into 3 sub-teams to carry forward the probe.
CBI Superintendent Nupur Prasad has formed three sub-teams to start with the investigation. The first team would examine all the case diaries, related to the case, that it got from the Mumbai Police, forensic report of Mumbai and autopsy report.
The second team would take statements of people involved in the case, including those interrogated by the Mumbai Police. The third team involved in the case would go to Sushant’s house with the Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL) experts to recreate the death scene again. Three Physicists and six Scientists from 3 Chemistry division from the team of CBI will study the hanging incident.
Apparently another CBI team will be interrogating Sushant’s neighbours to get an idea of the number of people living in the area. Along with that, the CBI have also prepared questionnaires which they will ask the accused, including Rhea Chakraborty. After getting different answers, the accused could be questioned face-to-face.
