Amitabh Bachchan and Dilip Kumar’s movie ‘Shakti’ was released 38 years ago and now it is all set for a remake. Shree Narayan Singh is working on the remake of this iconic film. The filmmaker is well known for his movies like the Akshay Kumar-starrer Toilet: Ek Prem Katha and Shahid Kapoor-Shraddha Kapoor’s Batti Gul Meter Chalu.
While confirming the news, Shree Narayan says “I have been working on the film for the last two years with Anjum Rajabali and Saumya Joshi penning the script. It’s a huge responsibility, which is why we are taking time to finalize the script, even though ours is more of an adaptation than a remake. The idea is to take the film on floors by next year.”
Shakti is the only movie where both the super stars, Amitabh Bachchan and Dilip Kumar were seen together. The movie Shakti has received four filmfare awards; Best Film, Best Actor (Dilip Kumar), Best Editing and Best Screenplay in 1982.
