One of Bollywood’s King Khans met the First Lady of Turkey, Emine Erdogan. Aamir Khan, on Saturday, met with the First Lady in Istanbul, at the presidential residence at the Huber Mansion.
According to a report by Swarajya Magazine, it was Aamir Khan who had requested the meeting as he wanted to update Erdogan about the work of Paani Foundation.
The Paani Foundation is a non-governmental organisation and a non-profitable foundation that was established by Khan himself along with his wife Kiran Rao. The organisation focusses on drought prevention and watershed management in drought-stricken districts of Maharashtra.
The two discussed various topics such as comparable aspects of Turkish and Indian cultures including the food, Aamir Khans touch of societal affairs in his films and the First Lady’s humanitarian projects concerning the education of women and children.
Aamir Khan’s original reason for his being in Turkey is for the wrapping up of the film Laal Singh Chaddha, which is the Hindi version of the Hollywood movie Forrest Gump starring Tom Hanks.
