This is a Boney Kapoor and Janhvi Kapoor first time collab and we’re truly excited! Producer Boney Kapoor has bought the rights to remake the superhit Malayalam film ‘Helen‘ in Hindi and he has cast his firstborn in the film.
Janhvi Kapoor is all set to play the lead role’s character who in the original was Anna Ben.
In an Exclusive by Pinkvilla, a source mentions that the father-daughter duo were supposed to do a film together earlier this year but now the two have teamed up for Helen. “Janhvi and Boney had announced a film called the Bombay Girl earlier this year. They were supposed to do that film first. But now, Boney has bought the rights to remake the popular Malayalam film Helen in Hindi. Janhvi will play the lead role in the Hindi version and step into the shoes of Anna Ben from the original.”
Helen tells us the tale of a young nurse with an ambition to travel abroad and live a better life. However, she suddenly disappears causing chaos as people close to her to go on a hunt for the missing girl.
