The Internet was already going gaga when it was announced that Deepika Padukone would star opposite South Superstar Prabhas in a Nag Ashwin-directed film.
We have some more exciting news for you! Though it was tough to get Deepika on board, the makers who were determined made an offer she couldn’t refuse.
As per reports from Box Office Worldwide, the superstar Deepika will reportedly be paid a whopping amount of 20 crores to feature in the film! While Prabhas is to be paid 50 crores.
Having carved a niche for herself, Deepika has lately been asking for remuneration matching that of the leading man. An insider source also revealed – “Deepika these days, asks for remuneration on a par with what the leading man of a film gets. She rightly feels she has earned herself a place of gender equality in her profession.”
Even the female character in this upcoming film has been remoulded to be given more substance and prominence to befit Deepika Padukone’s status and stardom.
