This pandemic is changing our lifestyles but it certainly hasn’t stopped the reality television show Bigg Boss from getting ready to air. The contestants will now have to follow certain rules and the show has also altered their policies and contract.
The producers and makers are currently in preparation for the next season of Bigg Boss which will, as usual, be hosted by Salman Khan.
The theme of the show has always been social distancing between the contestants and the rest of the world. In an exclusive by Pinkvilla, a source informed the news portal that the security will be heavily cautious and that only contestants with good immunity will be taken in.
The source goes on to say, “While every year contestants get paid weekly, this season contestants will be signed on a pre-decided budget and won’t be paid weekly. Due to the financial crunch, the show will have 5 popular faces with the lesser-known ones. Given the high amount of uncertainty involved, if in any situation the reality show is stalled in between, the production won’t pay for the episodes which didn’t happen.
A contestant can be eliminated basis of their hygiene, and their temperatures will be checked on a daily basis. If a contestant falls ill, he will be disqualified, but the show won’t pay them. Contestants with good immunity will only be taken.”
Reportedly, Salman Khan himself will be taking extreme precaution and promotional videos of this season are to be filmed at the actor’s Panvel farmhouse.
