With Sushant Singh Rajput’s sudden and tragic demise, the topic of #Nepotism has once again been revived on social media. Many popular Bollywood celebs have been subjected to Twitterati’s wrath and trolling.
Done with all the hate, negativity, trolling and toxicity, some celebs have Quit Twitter!
Director of films like Good Newwz and Dhadak, Shashank Khaitan deactivated his Twitter account, calling the platform – a ‘breeding ground of hate and negativity’.
After Shashank Khaitan’s exit from the micro-blogging site, singer Neha Bhasin too announced she was ‘Quitting Twitter for good’, citing that it was too toxic.
Neha wrote, “It is just too toxic for my mind. I only want to create music. I don’t want to see the garbage people carry in their minds. I take the right of everyone to come and say whatever they feel like to me away. Stop calling people underrated. It is annoying. Khud kuch stars ko sarr pe chadhate ho phir khud kuch logon ko underrated bolte ho.”
Fed up with the hate and trolling she received after Sushant’s death, Sonakshi Sinha also bid adieu to Twitter saying – “Aag lage basti mein… mein apni masti mein! Bye Twitter.”
Race 3 actor Saqib Saleem also ‘broke up’ with Twitter, expressing his discontent at the bullying, hatred and the lack of kindness on the platform.
He wrote – “You seem to have gotten lost in all the hate everyone is so ready to throw at each other, a place full of bullies, a place where abusing people is a normal code of conduct… I don’t need this kind of energy.”
Loveyatri Actor Aayush Sharma too followed their suit and proceeded to deactivate his Twitter account, saying he didn’t sign up for ‘this nasty herd mentality’!
Launched by Salman Khan in Notebook, actor Zaheer Iqbal also said Goodbye To Twitter!
