2020’s Bollywood sequels that you need to know about

Did you ever experience this feeling of wanting more? Either when you’re enjoying a scrumptious meal or listening to juicy gossip or in this case… watching movies?

You know a film is a hit when you can’t help but wonder what if there was a continuation to this film. You want to know what happens next and cliffhangers just don’t work.

Here’s some good news. We have made a list of the upcoming B-Town’s special sequels for you so keep reading.

1. Pyaar ka Punchnama 3

Luv Ranjan’s Pyaar ka Punchnama is a series of two rom-coms with the third sequel on its way this year. The second part was released in the year 2015.

The cast remains the same with Sunny Singh and Kartik Aaryan in the lead. The duo’s most recent film together was Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety (2018), another Luv Ranjan’s magical directorial that was a huge hit.

2. Munna Bhai 3

The Sanjay Dutt starrer, Munna Bhai, is a film series packed with drama and comedy directed by Rajkumar Hirani and Subhash Kapoor. The first of the series, Munna Bhai M.B.B.S., was released in the year 2003 followed by the sequel Lage Raho Munna Bhai in 2006.

There has been talk of the third part that is to be released in 2022. Director Rajkumar Hirani confirmed the word around town that he has started working on a story line for the movie.

3. Go Goa Gone 2

Go Goa Gone 2 stars Saif Ali Khan, Kunal Kemmu, Vir Das and Anand Tiwari in another drama filled movie directed by Raj Nidimoru. This sequel is set out for the year 2021.

The first part was released in 2013 with the same cast. The movie was a comical surge of visuals that the audience appreciated.

4. Krrish 4

Krrish 4 is the sequel of the famous series with Hrithik Roshan in and as Krrish. The movie was a blockbuster and it presents Krrish as a super hero. This series is a continuation of the movie Koi Mil Gaya (2003) starring Preity Zinta and Hrithik Roshan.

The first Krrish film was released in 2006 post which another sequel was released in 2013. Krrish 4 is said to release this year directed by Rakesh Roshan.

5. Hera Pheri 3

Hera Pheri 3 is the sequel of the Hera Pheri series first released in 2000 directed by Priyadarshan, Neeraj Vora, Indra Kumar and Ahmed Khan. The films are extremely comical and a super hit with the audience.

The main cast is Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty and Paresh Rawal who go about chasing a series of hilarious events.

The third part is said to release in the year 2021 with Indra Kumar and Ahmed Khan as directors. The cast remains the same with an inclusion of Abhishek Bachchan and John Abraham.

6. Kick 2

The 2014 Salman Khan hit movie is coming up with the sequel, Kick 2, both directed by Sajid Nadiadwala. It is said to release in the year 2021.

The first film had Jacqueline Fernandez playing Salman aka Devi’s leading lady. After watching the first blockbuster, we can’t wait to see what happens in this part!

7. Dostana 2

The first Dostana directed by Tarun Mansukhani is a romantic comedy that broke multiple stereotypes in our country. This part starred Priyanka Chopra, John Abraham and Abhishek Bachchan in the lead.

The sequel is said to release this year with additions to the cast. Dostana 2 welcomes on board Laksh Lalwani, Kartik Aaryan and Janhvi Kapoor.

8. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2

Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is the comedy horror sequel of Bhool Bhulaiyaa, a film directed by Anees Bazmee. The second part stars Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani along with Tabu.

The second part releases this year. The first film featured on screen Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan and Amisha Patel and became a huge hit with the audience.

9. Hungama 2

Hungama is a 2003 comedy film directed by Priyadarshan starring Akshaye Khanna and Rimi Sen.

Hungama 2 is the sequel that has cast Shilpa Shetty, Meezaan Jaffery, Paresh Rawal and Pranitha Subhash.

10. Badhaai Ho

Junglee Pictures is all set to take the social comedy to a whole another level with the sequel of Badhaai Ho which is now titled Badhaai Do. The lead actors for this movie are Bhumi Pednekar and Rajkummar Rao.

11. Heropanti 2

Heropanti 2 is the Upcoming Movie starring Tiger Shroff, Kriti Sanon, Rakesh Krushna Joshi, directed by Ahmed Khan and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. The Story is about a guy who helps people at night.

12. Ek Villain 2

Ek Villain 2 is a Hindi movie starring John Abraham and Aditya Roy Kapoor in prominent roles. It is a drama directed by Mohit Suri.

13. Satyamev Jayate 2

Satyameva Jayate 2 is an upcoming Indian Hindi-language vigilante action film serving as a sequel to the 2018 film Satyameva Jayate and based on the fight against injustice & misuse of power.

14. Raid 2

A sequel to the 2018’s release Raid starred Ajay Devgn along with Ileana D’Cruz, Saurabh Shukla among others and was directed by Raj Kumar Gupta.
