Sonu Sood aka Messiah of the Migrant workers has been in the news for tirelessly working to alleviate their plight. Under his ‘Ghar Bhejo’ campaign, this reel-life villain, real-life hero has seamlessly arranged for buses and sent more than 12,000 migrant workers to their respective home states – Bihar, Karnataka, Jharkhand and Uttar Pradesh.
Migrant workers, Government, Bollywood and the Internet in turn have been showering the actor with praise, well wishes and love. In fact, someone has even named their firstborn after him!
A pregnant lady who had boarded the bus that the actor had arranged for sending migrants to Darbhanga some time back, had given birth yesterday. Grateful for all the help she had received from Sonu, the family decided to name their baby after him!

The family, ‘Shrivastav’, called the actor to inform him that they were calling their baby Sonu Sood Shrivastav to show their gratitude. The Dabangg actor was sweetly surprised, humbled and touched by this gesture. Let’s hope Sonu Sood Shrivastav also makes the world a better place when he grows up, just like his namesake!
In return for all his good work, the Samaritan Sonu also got a personal call from the impressed Maharashta Governor, Bhagat Singh Koshyari! He lauded him for his dedication towards facilitating safe transportation of migrant workers to their homes.
A fan also said Sonu Sood was The Next Amitabh, stating people would flock his residence like they did Bachchan’s. Sonu won hearts on the Internet with his humble and good-humoured reply that he would instead go to their house, since they owed him a lot of aloo paranthe, paan and chai!
