The Samaritan Side of Shah Rukh Khan has been shining strong in these troubled times. Whether it’s the Coronavirus or Cyclone Amphan, our King Khan has been active in his donation and support towards battling these causes.
In the wake of the destruction caused by the Amphan cyclone in West Bengal recently, SRK along with his IPL team Kolkata Knight Riders and NGO Meer Foundation announced a series of initiatives to help those who are affected.
The actor has already donated an undisclosed amount to the West Bengal CM’s Relief Fund through the NGO Meer Foundation. His IPL Team KKR has promised to replant 5,000 saplings under Plant A 6 Initiative.
While essential ration and hygiene items have been distributed to the severely affected regions by KKR Sahatya Vahan. They will also help in rebuilding homes and lives of acid attack survivors!

Shah Rukh Khan has also been a huge help during the Covid-19 crisis. Earlier in April, he and his wife Gauri Khan had graciously offered their 4-storey personal office space to BMC; as a quarantine facility for children, women and the aged, equipped with 22 beds and essentials.
The Badshah of Bollywood went all out with his various companies – Kolkata Knight Riders, Red Chillies Entertainment, NGO Meer Foundation and Red Chillies VFX, to ensure his support. Be it monetary contributions to PM-Cares Fund and Maharashtra CM’s Relief Fund, or providing 50,000 PPE kits to West Bengal and Maharashtra.
The Meer Foundation also tied up with Ek Saath, to provide daily food rations for at least a month to over 5,500 families in Mumbai. They also had a kitchen set up to send out 2,000 freshly cooked meals every day to help households and hospitals.
In association with Roti Foundation, his Meer Foundation also provided 3,00,000 meal kits to feed the underprivileged and daily wage labourers affected by the pandemic. They also tied up with the Working People’s Charter to provide basic essentials and grocery items for at least a month to over 2,500 daily wage workers in Delhi.
Lastly, the Meer Foundation supported the basic needs of 100 acid attack survivors across Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Bihar, West Bengal and Uttarakhand by providing them a monthly stipend.
