The making of the Indian adaptation of ‘The Night Manager’, which is a mini British series, was announced the last year.
The series is still under process and is yet to go on floors before its streaming on the OTT platform Disney+ Hotstar.
Hrithik Roshan was initially roped in to essay the role of Jonathan Pine (originally played by Tom Hiddleston), which would have been his OTT debut. However, not too long ago, news of Hrithik’s exit from the show was made public. Now, two other Bollywood stars have been cast into the show to play the lead roles.
As per a report, Aditya Roy Kapur and Anil Kapoor have been locked in to play the characters Jonathan Pine and Richard Roper (originally played by Hugh Laurie) respectively. The Night Manager is a 2016 limited series based on the 1993 novel by John Le Carre. The Indian adaptation of this series will premiere on Disney+ Hotstar and will be directed by Sandeep Modi.
The makers are apparently in process of finalizing the cast for the six-part spy series. Additionally, the adaptation is being produced by Preity Zinta in association with Banijay Asia.
