Kiara Advani has turned 29 years old today and we wish her a very happy birthday!
The actress is currently busy promoting her upcoming movie ‘Shershaah’, starring Sidharth Malhotra.
Looks like Kiara’s schedule is packed for the upcoming couple of years with a handful of movies including- ‘Bhool Bhulaiyya 2’, ‘Jug Jugg Jeeyo’, Ram Charan’s next pan-India film. She will also reportedly star opposite Ranveer Singh in the Hindi remake of the Tamil film- ‘Anniyan’.
Previously, Kiara has worked with Karan Johar in ‘Lust Stories’, ‘Good Newwz’, and ‘Guilty’. Now, if this media report is to be believed, Karan wanted to cast the ‘Machine’ actress opposite Ranveer in ‘Simmba’.
According to the report, NOT Sara Ali Khan but Kiara was KJo’s FIRST CHOICE for this cop drama.
However, director Rohit Shetty felt Kiara was a misfit for the role, as the report suggests.
“Karan directed Kiara in ‘Lust Stories’ and sees a huge potential in her. He even moved her to his talent agency. Karan pitched her to play the female lead in Simmba opposite Ranveer Singh but Rohit wasn’t keen on taking her on board as she was a misfit for the role,” a source revealed to the portal.
Did you guys know she had also auditioned for ‘Student Of The Year’ (2012)? According to a report, during a conversation with Elle India magazine, the actress revealed that she had given an audition for the role- ‘Shanaya’, which eventually went to her namesake Alia Bhatt (Kiara’s original name is also Alia).
