Kartik Aaryan and Karan Johar are reuniting for an ambitious comedy trilogy, joined by producer Mahaveer Jain.
Following their recent collaboration on the romantic comedy Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri, they are teaming up for a high-concept film with laughter, surprises, and spectacular visuals.
As per reports, filmmaker Mrighdeep Singh Lamba, best known for the Fukrey franchise, will direct the project. A source close to the development shared, “Mrighdeep has been developing this high-concept comedy for some time, envisioning it as a trilogy with Kartik Aaryan in the lead. Karan was immediately on board after hearing the concept and agreed to produce it for the big screen. The script has the potential to connect with audiences across all segments.”
The film is currently in pre-production, with the team focused on enhancing its scale and visual appeal to deliver a distinctive theatrical experience. Sharing insights into the project, a source revealed, “This is much more than just a comedy—the team aims to surprise audiences with its grand scale and striking visuals. Pre-production is underway, and filming is set to begin in September 2025.”
