In an exclusive interview with Instant Bollywood, Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan opened up about a deeply personal regret he has had throughout his 35-year career in the film industry.

The actor, known for his dedication to his craft, admitted that he had neglected his personal relationships during much of his time in the spotlight.
Reflecting on his career, Aamir shared, “My career has gone really well, and I’ve had a wonderful family. Maybe the only regret I have is that out of my 35 years in acting, about 30 of those years I was so lost in the world of films that I didn’t give enough importance to my personal relationships. I wasn’t really aware; I was just lost in it all.”

He went on to express a sense of loss regarding the time he could have spent with his children when they were younger.
Aamir specifically mentioned how his busy schedule took a toll on his relationship with his kids, saying, “I wish I hadn’t let that happen because you can’t get those years back. The time I could have spent with my kids when they were young—like with Ira when she was little and Junaid when he was small—that’s time I can’t recover. I regret that.”

Aamir Khan Says It’s Better Now, Spending A Lot Of Time On My Personal Relationships
Despite this regret, Aamir acknowledged that things have changed in recent years. When asked whether he has been working on improving his personal relationships, he responded positively:
“It’s gotten way better. I’ve been spending a lot of time on my personal relationships now, hanging out with my kids, friends or my mom. I’ve been spending a lot of time with family over the last three or four years.”
The actor’s reflection serves as a reminder to all of us about the importance of balance between career and personal life. While Aamir Khan has achieved immense success professionally, his focus now is on the moments he once missed with his loved ones.
