The teaser for Kesari Chapter 2: The Untold Story of Jallianwala Bagh has finally arrived. Unveiled on Monday, the gripping teaser features Akshay Kumar in the lead role.
Directed by Karan Singh Tyagi, the film explores the aftermath of the tragic Jallianwala Bagh massacre of April 1919.
The 1-minute-39-second teaser breaks traditional norms with a bold 30-second opening—featuring no visuals, logo, or title. Instead, it uses only sound to plunge the audience into the chaos and terror of the massacre.
The teaser opens with haunting cries of victims and grieving families, echoing desperate pleas like “Please stop, for God’s sake,” “Shoot them,” and “The gates are locked.” It also features a chilling disclaimer: “These visuals are too horrific to display.”

Akshay Kumar steps into the role of Sir C Sankaran Nair in Kesari Chapter 2, the courageous lawyer who dared to challenge the British Empire after this national tragedy. Enhancing the impact of the teaser, a commanding voiceover reminds, “Don’t forget that you’re still a slave to the British Empire.”
Inspired by the book The Case That Shook The Empire by Pushpa Palat and Raghu Palat, Kesari Chapter 2 pushes the boundaries of Indian cinema with its daring storytelling.
Backed by Dharma Productions, Cape of Good Films, and Leo Media Collective, the film features a stellar cast, including R. Madhavan and Ananya Panday.
Kesari Chapter 2 is set to hit theatres on April 18, 2025.
