Aamir Khan recently sat down for an exclusive candid chat with Instant Bollywood, where he shared his thoughts on his son Junaid Khan’s budding acting career. Despite the setbacks, Aamir remains positive and proud of his son’s journey so far. When asked about Junaid’s career, Aamir was full of praise for his son’s dedication to his craft.
“He’s made a good start and has done a good job. I think his biggest strength is that he really embodies his character. When he plays Maharaj, you feel like, yes, that’s Karsan. And when you see him as Gaurav in Loveyapa, you feel like, yes, he totally becomes that character. That’s his biggest strength,” Aamir said.
While he acknowledged Junaid’s talent, Aamir also pointed out some areas where his son could improve. With a playful smile, he quipped, “I feel like he’s a good actor, but he does have some weaknesses. For one, he’s a ‘great dancer’ like me, but like me, he’s not so good at interacting with people. So when he gives interviews, he tends to give such ‘unique’ answers. But he’ll learn, yeah, he definitely will learn.”

Aamir Khan On Similarities With Son Junaid Khan: “We’re Both a Little Strange But Our Value System Is Super Strong”

Aamir also shared his admiration for Junaid’s independent spirit and work ethic. “What I like about him is that he likes to find his own way. He makes his own mistakes and learns on his own, and he’s a good guy. I feel like he’s a hard worker. Every man faces challenges in life, and his last movie didn’t do well, but in a way, that’s a good thing. It will make him tougher and work harder. I think he’s doing well,” he said.
When asked if he sees glimpses of himself in Junaid, Aamir was quick to agree. “Many times. I was really shy like him. I also couldn’t give interviews back then, and I felt pretty awkward too. Now, we’re both a little strange,” he joked.
Reflecting on their shared values, Aamir added, “When I look back, I see we really hold our values close. Our value system is super strong, and we’re always hesitant to step outside of it. I’m like that too. Because of that, we end up doing some impractical things. You might think, ‘Wow, that’s a really impractical move,’ but it’s actually really important for us.”
It’s clear that Aamir Khan is not only proud of Junaid’s work but also deeply supportive of his journey. While he acknowledges the hurdles Junaid faces, he believes those challenges will only make his son stronger. With Aamir’s guidance and Junaid’s determination, the young actor will definitely carve his own path in Bollywood.
