Nora Fatehi Reveals Jason Derulo Fully Embraced Indian Culture During His Time Here, Talks About Snake!
Self-made artist Nora Fatehi is known for her unstoppable drive, killer dance moves, and fierce ambition. And when she teamed up with none other than international sensation Jason Derulo for their latest track Snake, fans knew they were in for something epic!
In an exclusive chat with Instant Bollywood, Nora shared the behind-the-scenes scoop on working with Jason and how their energies matched perfectly.
“He is this iconic artist, you know? Maybe his drive and ambition might be lesser now. Whereas I’m always in go mode. I was afraid that his energy won’t match mine. But I was wrong. He’s basically a male version of me, for real. We’re both like, ‘Let’s do interviews, let’s promote, let’s post, let’s make a video, a comedy skit, a dance video.’ He’s an awesome guy to collaborate with,” Nora said.

While Jason might be an international star, it’s no secret that Nora is a perfectionist when it comes to her work.

“But I don’t mess around when it comes to work, so sometimes people get a little intimidated. But he got it, he realized, ‘Okay, she’s a bit bossy and strict, so I’ll just go along with her.’ He trusted me when it came to producing the music video and the team I assembled. The director was my choice, the choreographer was mine, the whole vision was mine. My director came up with this cool futuristic Morocco concept for the video and Jason totally ran with it, along with the styling I wanted,” She added.
And the collaboration turned out to be fire! Nora couldn’t stop gushing about Jason’s work ethic and talent. “He’s been such a great artist to work with, super talented for sure!”

But it wasn’t all just work – Jason Derulo also fully embraced Indian culture during his time in India. From indulging in classic desi food to dressing in traditional attire, he made sure to experience it all.
“The most Indian thing he did when he was here was eat tons of Indian food. He kept asking for butter chicken, chicken tandoori, and all that. He wore a kurta by Manish Malhotra, went on the show and promoted it with me, which was really sweet. He totally embraced Indian culture; he loved every bit of it!”
And it looks like Jason is keen on learning more about India beyond just its flavors and fashion.
“He asked me to teach him some Hindi phrases so I could show him a couple of lines in front of the paparazzi. He loved it, and then he randomly messaged me saying, ‘Nora, please teach me Hindi. I really want to learn.’ I told him I’d teach him whatever I know,” Nora commented.
