In a candid chat with Instant Bollywood, the Gadar 2 actress talked about her challenges with PR and why she has always stayed away from Bollywood camps and cliques.

The actress highlighted that her career choices have always been based on the merit of the projects rather than industry connections. Despite being an outsider in Bollywood, Patel has delivered some memorable performances over the years.
“I was terrible at PR, and I never really fit in at any camp. I didn’t belong to a specific clique and I wasn’t from a film family. I didn’t have a romantic relationship with anyone in the industry either. I only worked on projects that came my way based on merit, and I picked from whatever opportunities were available. If I had gone with the flow, there would have been a lot more chances, but I didn’t want to lose myself in that,” Ameesha shared.

Ameesha Patel – ‘Huge Part Of My Life Is Private’
Patel also emphasized the importance of maintaining her privacy, which she considers her sanctuary. Despite the over exposure of celebrity lives, she maintains a significant part of her life as private and intends to keep it that way.
“I don’t know how to do any of this (PR). The people I love and that I want to spend my time with are different; I’ll keep prioritizing them. I’m not a part of the party groups or camps, and you barely see me anyway. You now know almost every move of almost every celebrity, but you have no idea what I’m doing or not doing. There’s a huge part of my life that I always choose to keep private, and I’ll keep doing that,” She added.
Despite the challenges of navigating an industry where networking and PR often play a crucial role, Patel remains firm in her belief that her work should do the talking.
“My privacy is my sanctuary, you know? It keeps me completely grounded. There are huge achievements I’ve had that only the people who love me and are close to me know about, and I’ve never talked about them. I’ve always believed in letting the work speak for itself and surprising people when they least expect it. Just when they think they have you figured out, hit them with a surprise! And it’s the way I’ve always been,” Ameesha commented.
