This social satire movie was competing alongside films such as Animal, Kill, Kalki 2898 AD, Srikanth, Chandu Champion, Joram, Maidaan, Sam Bahadur, Article 370, the Malayalam film Aattam, which won the National Award for Best Feature Film this year and Cannes-winning Payal Kapadia film All We Imagine As Light.
Directed by Kiran Rao and produced by Kiran Rao, Aamir Khan, Jyoti Deshpande, Laapataa Ladies stars fresh young faces like Nitanshi Goel, Pratibha Ranta, Sparsh Shrivastav along with seasoned actors Chhaya Kadam and Ravi Kishan.

Laapataa Ladies Synopsis:
Due to a twist in events, two newly wedded brides inadvertently get exchanged. Both women go through a rollercoaster of comical misadventures because of this.
