Himesh Reshammiya’s father Vipin Reshammiya dies at 87!
Veteran music composer Vipin Reshammiya, father passed away on the night of 18th September in Mumbai. He had been admitted in Kokilaben Hospital for breathing problems prior to his death.
A close friend of the family’s, Vanita Thapar, confirmed the news to ETimes. Vanita commented, “Yes, he had a breathing problem. He was in Kokilaben and passed away today at 8.30 pm. I am a family friend, more like family. I used to call him papa since the time he was making TV serials. Later, he became a music director, and then Himesh followed in his footsteps.”
The family made an official statement about his passing and last rites –
“It is with profound grief that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved father Shri Vipin Reshammiya on 18th September, 2024. A kind soul with a heart full of love, his presence lit up the lives of all who knew him. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, wisdom, cherished memories, and timeless music. His last rites are scheduled for today at 11:30 AM at Oshiwara Crematorium in Mumbai.”
Apart from being a music composer, he was also a producer and had backed his son Himesh’s projects like Teraa Surroor and The Xpose.
