When an abduction attempt is made on his daughter, Ram Charan Pandey is finally stirred into action. He begins probing into these multiple missing children cases and his suspicion falls on Prem Singh (Vikrant Massey), a sinister servant who’s in the employ of an equally shady boss – Bassi (Akash Khurana).

As he gets more entangled with the case, Ram Charan is horrified to discover the true depravity of the crimes committed. Watch Sector 36 to see how this chilling thriller unfolds –

Sector 36 Movie Review:

Sector 36 is not for the faint of heart. Trigger warnings for strong themes like rape, pedophilia and cannibalism!

That being said – this Vikrant Massey-Deepak Dobriyal starrer is absolutely engaging from start-to-finish. Director Aditya Nimbalkar is very purposeful with his direction and succeeds in creating an unsettling recreation of the Nithari Killings case, keep one on the edge at all times.

It doesn’t shy away from the gore, but some of the more triggering themes are handled tastefully by insinuating instead of outright showing it. Sector 36 is slow in the beginning, but when it takes off, it truly is engrossing.

Sector 36 Movie Review:

Aditya Nimbalkar has handled it sensitively yet not compromised on showcasing the gruesome nature of the crimes. Vikrant Massey is absolutely chilling and menacing as the cold-blooded serial killer. He sinks into the skin of this character, flawlessly depicting the psyche of a calculated, ruthless villain. Another standout performance in his repertoire!

Meanwhile, Deepak Dobriyal holds his own against Vikrant with an equally intense performance. Their confrontations – both physical and verbal, hold up the intrigue really well. They play off each other’s energy perfectly. Sector 36 is superbly acted.

Akash Khurana as the creepy boss and Darshan Jariwala as the corrupt cop lend adequate support to the film.

Sector 36 is out on Netflix! Worth watching for the stellar performances and chilling recreation of the serial killing case!
