Ghudchadi Movie Review
Ghudchadi is a sweet, light-hearted fare perfect for a weekend binge. The charming Parth Samthaan and Khushali Kumar share believable enough chemistry. The comedy falls a little flat sadly even though Parth tries his best. He shows a lot of potential in the emotional scenes, though the treatment is extra melodramatic.
Khushali Kumar looks gorgeous in this charming romance. Her comic timing is on point and she shines in the dramatic scenes, especially ones where she is sharing screen space with Raveena Tandon. Khushali nails a pivotal emotional moment in the tearjerker climax.
Raveena Tandon gives a nuanced performance as a lovelorn single mother looking for a 2nd chance at romance. Ghudchadi could have explored the intricacies of a middle-age love story between Raveena-Sanjay a little more.
The 2nd half is marginally better than the 1st half but the climax has an excessive amount of theatrics. Aruna Irani brings a dignified energy to the rom-com but her villainy as the casteist matriarch is cliched.
Sanjay Dutt is underutilised in this film. He breezes his way through Ghudchadi while Raveena does her best to keep their duo interesting. It had the potential to be so much more as it had an interesting premise but it ultimately ends up being a little outdated.
Where To Watch?
