Kalki 2898 AD has become the third biggest Indian opener with a gross collection worldwide of  Rs 191.5 crores! As per reports, the film made Rs 95 crore nett in India on Day 1.

Kalki 2898 AD has beaten the collection of Yash’s KGF Chapter 2, which grossed Rs 159 crores worldwide on its opening day. It is the 3rd biggest Indian opener after SS Rajamouli’s films RRR and Baahubali 2. RRR opened with a worldwide collection of 223 crore, and the 2nd spot belongs to Baahubali 2’s collection of Rs 217 crore on its first day.

Kalki 2898 AD Day 1 Collection; 191.5 Crores

About Kalki 2898 AD:

The futuristic drama is set against Kashi, a dystopian city, right below the utopian ‘Complex’ – which is ruled by the totalitarian Supreme Yaskin (Kamal Haasan).

Bhairava (Prabhas) is a famous bounty hunter dreaming of his chance to enter the elite Complex. Elsewhere, in a secret lab – a nefarious ‘Project K’ is in the works. Sum-80 aka Sumati (Deepika Padukone) is a pregnant lab subject, trying to escape before Supreme Yaskin gets his hands on her.

After the age of Mahabharata, Amitabh Bachchan’s Ashwatthama rises up once more to protect Sumati – the prophesied mother of Kalki. Bhairava is hot on their heels in his rigorous pursuit of Sumati.

Will Sumati be able to evade evil forces and safely give birth to Kalki – the 10th and final avatar of Vishnu? Watch Kalki 2898 AD to witness the intense battle between good vs evil….

Kalki 2898 AD Is Getting Positive Reviews So Far:

The film is receiving praise for its VFX and power-packed performances. While the 1st half leaves much to be desired, the film hits its stride in the 2nd half with some insane battle sequences.
