Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra give statement on the 90 lakhs cheating case!
Through a statement shared by their lawyer, the couple has said that they have not committed any offence and would fight this battle legally and cooperate with the investigation.

The cheating complaint was filed by Prithviraj Kothari, who claimed he was defrauded by the couple after investing 90 lakhs in the Satyug Gold scheme. An agreed quantity of gold was to be delivered to him at the date of maturity.
But Prithviraj has claimed that the promised amount of gold wasn’t given to him. His complaint had previously been probed by the police in 2022.

Shilpa Shetty And Raj Kundra Give Statement On The 90 Lakhs Cheating Case!
Shilpa’s lawyer says – “After thorough investigation in 2022, it was found that the complainant had in fact received the entire alleged amount of ₹ 90 lakhs through legitimate means of payment.” The lawyer further said that Shilpa and Raj had provided documents regarding the same as well.
Prithviraj has now filed a private complaint under sec 156(3) CrPC before the Honourable Court and the case is being reinvestigated again.
Kundra’s lawyer said that the couple has ‘complete faith in the independence and fairness of the investigation’ and that the ‘truth shall prevail’.

The statement, released by their lawyer reads – “My clients have not committed any offence and it has been established through documents in possession of my clients. The invoice between the Complainant and my clients clearly reflect that there is an Arbitration clause in the said contract. If the complainant has any grievance about the alleged interest amount, the clause of Arbitration can certainly be invoked.
My clients reserve their right to sue the complainant for malicious proceedings at the right stage of the proceedings.”
