Ruslaan Movie Review:
Ruslaan is an all-out massy entertainer, with plenty of stylish, high-octane action sequences and swagger. It ends up being a style over substance affair though.
Aayush Sharma excels as an action star in Ruslaan, especially in close-combat scenes. He gets ample moments to show off his physical prowess and he does the action and even the comedy well. Sharma falters slightly in scenes that require intense emotion. Ruslaan is high on thrills and energy, but the plot is contrived in places.
Sushrii Mishraa makes a confident debut as an action heroine. Her partner-in-crime chemistry with Aayush works. Vidya Malavade sinks into her role flawlessly and doesn’t miss a beat. Veteran actor Jagapathi Babu elevates the film with his performance as the tough ATS officer!
While being formulaic, Ruslaan nevertheless doesn’t fail in being entertaining with its fast-paced action.
