Akshay Kumar to return to the 3rd part of the horror-comedy franchise, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3?
The first part had featured Akshay in lead. However, he was replaced by Kartik Aaryan in the sequel.
After the blockbuster response to Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, fans were eagerly waiting for the part 3 of the much-loved horror-comedy franchise.
Recently, the makers announced the return of the OG Majulika, Vidya Balan in the Kartik Aaryan starrer.
Akshay Kumar In Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3?
Recently, after the return of Vidya to the franchise, rumours went rife that AkshayKumar is also likely to make a comeback to the Bhool Bhulaiyaa franchise.
However, director Aneez Bazmee has dismissed the reports. Talking to Zoom, Bazmee confirmed that Akshay is NOT a part of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. He said –
“No, Akshay is not a part of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. I am dying to work with him, but unfortunately, I have not been able to script a film where we could work together. In future, certainly yes.”
He further spoke about Vidya’s involvement in the project. He continued,
“Look, Vidya had agreed to do a 3-day role in my film Thank You. I remember calling her, and she taking no time to give her nod of consent. I don’t know why, but I can never forget that gracious gesture. It all started from there, and here I am today, ready to go on the set.”
Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is set to go on floors in March.
