Bollywood Celebs Who Promoted Lakshadweep

The Lakshadweep islands have become the unlikely battleground for a simmering diplomatic dispute between India and the Maldives and Bollywood celebs are supporting Lakshadweep.

After a Twitter spat between Maldivian politicians and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi over tourism promotion, Indians are boycotting Maldives as a vacation spot.

Indian celebrities like John Abraham, Sara Ali Khan, and Urvashi Rautela have turned Lakshadweep into their latest Instagram backdrop. Let’s take a look at their Bollywood pictures from the Maldives.

1- John Abraham Lakshadweep

Abraham’s adrenaline-fueled kayaking trips and underwater explorations paint a picture of adventure. John Abraham took to Twitter and wrote, “With the amazing Indian hospitality, the idea of “Atithi Devo Bhava” and a vast marine life to explore. Lakshwadeep is the place to go.”

2- Sara Ali Khan

Sara Ali Khan’s serene yoga poses amidst swaying palms depict a haven for tranquility. Each idyllic snapshot seems to say, “Look, paradise waits – and it’s not in the Maldives.”

3- Anil Kapoor

Anil Kapoor also took to Twitter to promote tourism in Lakshadweep. He wrote, “Miles (of beach) to go before I sleep… #Lakshadweep, you’re a beauty and I can’t wait to explore you. #ExploreIndianIslands.”

4- Akshay Kumar

Akshay Kumar also took to social media to address the issue between India and Maldives and strongly promoted going to Lakshadweep instead of Maldives.

5- Shraddha Kapoor Lakshadweep

Shraddha Kapoor also joined in to support the tourism of India and expressed her willingness to visit Lakshadweep as soon as possible.

6- Salman Khan

Salman Khan wrote a tweet on Twitter while talking about the beauty of Lakshadweep. He wrote, “It is so cool to see our Hon PM Narendrabhai Modi at the beautiful clean and stunning beaches of Lakshadweep, and the best part is that yeh hamare India mein hain.”
