Fukrey 3 – the third installment of the much-loved comic franchise – has a new release date.
Directed by Mrighdeep Singh Lamba, the film is produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani-led Excel Entertainment.
Starring Pulkit Samrat, Varun Sharma, Manjot Singh, Richa Chadha and Pankaj Tripathi, Fukrey 3, sadly, will not have Ali Fazal in the iconic Fukra gang.
The trailer is reportedly set to arrive next week and will be attached with Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Jawan.
At first, the much-awaited 3rd sequel was scheduled to release on 7th September. However, SRK’s action-thriller with Atlee took the date and Fukrey 3 release date got shifted to 1st December 2023.
On Friday evening, the makers of Fukrey 3 announced that the much-awaited movie will arrive early in cinemas.
Sharing the release date, along with a new poster, the makers wrote –
“Leke aaye hai taaza khabar, ab nahi ho raha hai sabar. Iss baar hoga ek naya chumatkar from Jamnapaar!”
Fukrey 3 New Release Date:
In cinemas on 28 September 2023!
The movie will now have a clash with Vivek Agnihotri’s The Vaccine War, which stars Anupam Kher, Raima Sen, Nana Patekar and Pallavi Joshi in lead roles.
As per reports, Prabhas’ Salaar, which is also slated to release on the same date, has been postponed. However, there is no official announcement yet.
Meanwhile, speaking about the absence of his character Zafar from the Fukrey 3 announcement, Ali said in a statement –
“So Zafar aayega ya nahi? Sab yahi puch rahe hain baar baar. Sorry saathiyon, iss baari nahi! Zafar bhai ko kabhi kabhi Guddu bhaiya bhi banna padhta hai. Aur do universes overlap ho jaate hain kabhi kabhi (Everyone is asking if Zafar will return but sorry friends, not this time. Zafar has to sometimes become Guddu Bhaiya [his character from Mirzapur] and two universes do overlap sometimes).”
