Parineeti Chopra was paired opposite Sunny Kaushal to play the leading lady in Shiddat 2.
As per latest buzz, Parineeti is longer a part of the sequel.
If this report is to be believed, Parineeti Chopra has backed out from the project due to date issues. The movie was set to hit floors in August but got delayed to October-November due to technical issues.
Due to the change in schedule, Parineeti has apparently decided to opt out of the movie. Reportedly, the actress has two yet-untitled movies lined up in her kitty and is also busy prepping her wedding with Raghav Chadha in October this year.

As the report further suggests, the makers are in talks with Wamiqa Gabbi to play the female lead in the movie. Sunny is said to reprising his role ‘Jaggi’ in the sequel.
Wamiqa was recently seen in the Amazon Prime Video series Jubilee and had garnered rave reviews for her performance.
While the first part was directed by Kunal Deshmukh, Shiddat 2 will be helmed by Karan Sharma.
Starring Sunny Kaushal, Radhika Madan, Mohit Raina and Diana Penty, Shiddat had a direct-to-digital release in 2021 and was well-received by the audience.
