Shah Rukh Khan’s alleged leaked Whatsapp chat with former zonal director of Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) Sameer Wankhede in Aryan Khan drugs case recently went viral.
And now, the actor’s close friend has questioned the authenticity of those chats.

For the unversed, Sameer Wankhede was recently booked under corruption charges in Aryan Khan drugs-on-cruise case in 2021. In his defence, Wankhede has submitted screenshots of his alleged chats with SRK in court.
According to Times Now, in those leaked chats, SRK can be seen begging Wankhede to go slow on Aryan when he was arrested in drugs case. As per the screenshots, the actor also purportedly urged him not to let Aryan be in jail as it would “destroy his spirit”.

Now, as reported by ETimes, a friend close to SRK has rubbished the relevance and authenticity of the alleged leaked chats between the actor and Wankhede.
The close friend has also claimed that “SRK never uses WhatsApp” and he “doesn’t talk like that.”
As quoted by the daily, the source said –
“The chats could not have happened. Shah Rukh Khan never uses WhatsApp. If these chats are authentic then he created a chat box for Mr Wankhede. Is he stupid to put himself out there in the public domain? The language used, the pauses, the way the father is seen pleading for his son… all are highly unlikely to be authentic. SRK doesn’t talk like that. When his son was jailed, he contacted no one to get Aryan out. He believed firmly in letting the law takes its course. Nights after sleepless nights, SRK waited for his son to be released. He did not plead with any government officer for his son’s freedom. He knew Aryan was innocent. He waited.”
For the unversed, CBI had accused Wankhede and others of allegedly demanding Rs 25 crore bribe for not framing SRK’s son, Aryan, in drugs case.
