Om Raut’s magnum opus Adipurush is based on the Ramayana epic and stars Prabhas as Raghava, Kriti Sanon as Janaki, and Saif Ali Khan as Ravana. The cast also includes Sunny Singh as Lakshmana, Devdatta Nage as Hanuman and Vatsal Sheth as Indrajit. Sonal Chauhan is also featuring in this movie.
The trailer showcases some iconic moments from the epic – Ravan tricking Janaki into crossing Lakshmana rekha, Hanuman burning Lanka, Raghava amassing a huge army to rescue his wife…
Adipurush has been postponed multiple times owing to VFX work, as the film’s CGI had been heavily criticised by the audience. As per reports, it is rumoured that Adipurush’s budget has crossed a whopping 600 CRORES.
