Saif Ali Khan made his digital debut in the popular Netflix series – Sacred Games.
Now, the actor is all set to be back with yet another OTT series.
Saif Ali Khan will headline the Indian adaptation of the hit Danish/Swedish series, Bron/Broen (The Bridge).
Besides playing the male lead in the series, Saif is also co-producing it under his production banner – Black Knight Films with Endemol Shine India.
Saif will essay the role of a detective in the series, which was originally played by Kim Bodnia. The Hindi version in slated to go on floors in the last quarter of this year and is expected to release in the second quarter of 2024.
The Bridge Synopsis:
When a body is found on the bridge between Denmark and Sweden, right on the border, Danish inspector Martin Rohde and Swedish Saga Norén have to share jurisdiction and work together to find the killer.
Talking about the series, Saif told the media –
“As an actor and producer, this is the one-of-a-kind opportunity that one waits for. It is a story that has been adapted the world over and loved by audiences, irrespective of their geographies, so yes, my team and I at Black Knight Films – Kunjal Punamiya (CEO/co-producer) and Pavan Kriplani (Creative Producer/co-producer) are super excited to be associated with this project and getting it rolling.”
On the work front, Saif will next be seen in Om Raut’s Adipurush. He will be seen as Raavan opposite Prabhas.
