MeToo accused Sajid Khan’s presence in the Bigg Boss 16 house has been receiving severe backlash from the netizens.
Though Shehnaaz Gill and Rakhi Sawant have been supporting Sajid, few celebs have taken to social media to express their displeasure.
Urfi Javed had previously slammed Shehnaaz for supporting a ‘sexual predator like Sajid’.
“He keeps defending his actions. He never apologized, he’s not sorry for it but he keeps defending what he did. What an a**hole.” – Urfi said.
Singer Sona Mohapatra had lashed out at the show for ‘whitewashing Sajid’s image’.
“ Should we provide free PR and publicity to TV show’s diabolical marketing teams and channels giving a hero’s welcome, seats of authority & whitewashing serial sex offenders like Sajid Khan, Anu Malik, Vikas Behl & many more? Should we avoid bathing in the troll mud-bath that follows making our identity that of controversial trouble-makers, liars, attention hungry & worse or should we be part of the ‘culture of silence’ & normalise this” Sona said in an interview.
Latest to jump on the bandwagon – Ali Fazal. Ali put up a story on his Insta, in support of the eviction of Sajid Khan from Bigg Boss 16.
Actress Devoleena Bhattacharjee also slammed Sajid’s participation in the show saying, “It is a simple thing – nine women cast allegations on Sajid Khan. Not all of those nine can be wrong. Tell me, will someone install a camera and then abuse? This is why women avoid complaining about these incidents.
Even the parents are scared that society will prove the victim as a liar. It breaks my heart to see him on national television, trying to prove he is a hero. I feel bad thinking where our society is headed.”
