From Dhol, Go Goa Gone to Golmaal, Lootcase and more… Kunal Kemmu has proved his acting mettle in time and again.
The 39-year-old actor is now set to don the director’s hat for his next.
On the auspicious occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, Kunal announced his directorial debut movie – Madgaon Express.
Produced by Farhan Akhtar & Ritesh Sidhwani’s Excel Entertainment, the script has also been written by Kunal.
As per a report, Laila Majnu and Bulbbul fame Avinash Tiwary has been roped in to play one of the protagonists in the film. The other actors would reportedly be Pratik Gandhi and Divyenndu (Mirzapur fame).
Reportedly, Madgaon Express is said to be a buddy with a twist.
“Known for their films about friendship and travel like Dil Chahta Hai (2001) and Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara (2011), Excel Entertainment is all set to helm yet another film based on a similar template. This is a genre that has been made immensely popular by the production house. Kunal’s upcoming directorial can be touted as Dil Chahta Hai gone wrong.”
