Ranbir Kapoor is currently busy promoting his next release – Brahmastra.
Recently, the actor was heavily trolled for his ‘phailod’ comment on pregnant Alia Bhatt.
During one of the YouTube live sessions for Brahmastra, Alia talked about the promotions and why they hadn’t been aggressive with them. The actress said, “We will promote the film, and we will be everywhere, but if the question you are asking is why we are not phailod everywhere, right now our focus is…” Before she could say any further, Ranbir then pointed at her baby bump and said –
“Well I can say somebody has phailod.”
Alia was taken aback and RK immediately said, “It’s a jok., it’s a joke,” after which he added, “in a cute way.”
Today (August 24), RK arrived Chennai to promote the Ayan Mukerji directorial. During the press conference, RK was asked about his ‘phailod comment’.
Apologising to people who felt offended for his comment, Ranbir said –
“Firstly, I love my wife with everything I have in my life. It’s a joke that didn’t turn out to be funny and I really want to apologise to anyone if I have triggered anyone. It wasn’t my intention. So, I say sorry to anyone who got triggered or offended I spoke to Alia about it, she laughed it off and she did not mind. I do have a bad sense of humour and that sometimes falls flat on my face sometimes. I am sorry if I have hurt anyone.”
