A challenging narrative playing with many nuances, the drama features the unconventional actor in a new light! And dare we say, he nails every bit of it.
Amid all the buzz, Prateik Babbar took to his social media handle and remembered his mother, Smita Patil, by sharing a clip from his recently released film. Cobalt Blue, streaming on Netflix, features the picture of the legendary actress in one scene with the young actor.
Prateik Babbar wrote, “ive said it before.. & ill say it over & over again.. this one’s special for so many reasons.. 💙but the most special reason being.. – this is the first time (& hopefully not the last) my gorgeous mother & i will ever be seen in the same frame together.. even if it’s just her photograph.. this particular scene & film will always empower me in ways i cannot articulate..”
He added, “set in the early / mid 90’s.. my character that of a mysterious paying guest happens to be a fan of the great smita patil!.. what a time to be alive! if heartbreak had a name.. CobaltBlueOnNetflix 💙”
About Cobalt Blue:
Directed by Sachin Kundalkar, the movie is based on Sachin’s novel of the same name. Cobalt Blue, which released on Netflix on April 2, also features Anjali Sivaraman, and Neelay Mehendale in the lead roles.
The official synopsis reads – “When an aspiring author and his free-spirited sister both fall for the enigmatic paying guest at their home, ensuing events rock their traditional family.”
