Vicky Kaushal will be seen in the biopic of Sam Manekshaw titled Sam Bahadur.
Directed by Meghna Gulzar, the movie also features Sanya Malhotra and Fatima Sana Shaikh in pivotal roles.
Produced by RSVP Movies, Vicky essays the role of Sam Manekshaw who was the Chief of the Army Staff of the Indian Army during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971 and the first officer who was given the rank of Field Marshal.
Fatima will be playing Indira Gandhi’s role while Sanya will be seen as Sam’s wife Silloo Manekshaw.
Now, as per the latest ETimes report, Sam Bahadur is apparently all set to go on floors in August this year. As the report further suggests, the actors will start prepping for their characters this month before kickstarting the first schedule.
“The team will soon start the prep needed before beginning the shoot. The actors will start preparing for their characters this month. However, the film will go on floors in August 2022 as the first schedule of the film has been lined up.”

The release date of ‘Sam Bahadur’ is yet to be revealed.
On the work front, Vicky will next be seen in Govinda Naam Mera, co-starring Bhumi Pednekar and Kiara Advani. He also has Laxman Utekar’s upcoming directorial with Sara Ali Khan, KJo’s next and Anand Tiwari’s next lined up ahead of him.
