Not Gangubai Kathiawadi, Sanjay Leela Bhansali had planned Inshallah first with Alia Bhatt, also co-starring Salman Khan.
However, the project got shelved owing to creative differences between SLB and Khan. Recently, the director opened up on the Inshallah fall-out with Salman Khan.
Calling Salman a ‘dear friend’, SLB had confessed that he’d tried his best to work with him post wrapping Padmaavat.

“For whatever reason, it didn’t turn out; we all change as people So he has changed, in his mind I have changed,” SLB told Bollywood Hungama.
SLB-Salman Khan have worked together for movies like Khamoshi: The Musical, Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam and Saawariya.
“It’s not like we are strangers or we do not like each other or we do not speak to each other. He has been an important part of who I am today and I will always respect him for it. The ball is in his court for him to decide if he wants to work with me,“ the director further added.
Let’s see if Alia-Salman ever end up doing some other film or not.
