After the success of Gangubai Kathiawadi, Sanjay Leela Bhansali is currently gearing up for his dream project – Heeramandi.
The period-drama series is being made exclusively for Netflix.

According to reports, the Netflix series is expected to go on floors by March-end. If this media report is to be believed, a grand set worth a whopping amount of Rs 1.75 Crores has apparently been built at Film City, Mumbai.
Reportedly, the set will recreate the Pakistani city of Lahore from 1945.
About Heeramandi:
Set in Lahore of pre-Independent India, the series will reportedly showcase the stories of courtesans, the hidden cultural reality of Heeramandi (a district in Lahore).
Earlier, it was reported that there will supposedly be 7 episodes and SLB will be directing the first one, while Vibhu Puri will be helming the rest of the 6 episodes.
