Actor-filmmaker Rajiv Kapoor was supposed to make his acting comeback with Toolsidas Junior. He had passed away on 9 February 2021.
Written and directed by Mridul, the movie also features Sanjay Dutt and Varun Buddhadev in lead roles.

‘Toolsidas Junior’ is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Ashutosh Gowariker and Sunita Gowariker.
Recently, the producers of ‘Toolsidas Junior’ had organised a special screening of the film for the Kapoor family in Mumbai. It was attended by several members of the Kapoor family including Ranbir Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor, Randhir Kapoor, Aadar Jain, Armaan Jain and Rima Jain.
On Saturday (February 19), the makers have finally dropped the much-awaited trailer of Late Rajiv Kapoor’s last film.
About Toolsidas Junior:
Set in Calcutta in 1994, the movie is inspired by true events. The heart-warming sports drama revolves around the life of a 13-year-old boy (Varun Buddhadev) who wants to avenge the defeat of his father Toolsidas (Rajiv Kapoor) in a game of Snooker. For this, he enlists the help of a former snooker champion Mohammad Salam (Sanjay Dutt).
