Storyline
When ex-athlete Savina Borkar (Taapsee Pannu) aka Savi injures her knee, she decides that it’s the end of her career… and her life. That is until she meets Satyajeet (Tahir Bhasin) aka Satya, who is a good for nothing lad but with his heart at the right places. Eventually, just the way opposites attract, the two become a couple and fast forward to a few years, they’re expecting a baby together!
However, Savi receives a distressed call from Satya the exact moment she finds out she’s pregnant. Satya has a knack for often choosing the wrong way of life and this one is no different. In a hurry to earn extra bucks to surprise Savi on her birthday (which happens to be the very exact day), he takes up a job given to him by his chef boss. The job is naturally not of good nature. Satya has to collect and deliver a sum of Rs 50 Lakh to his boss within 80 hours and if you haven’t guessed it yet, of course, it all goes wrong. He ends up not only losing the money but is also running short on time to deliver it.
Savi who is already in a panicked state doesn’t think much but quickly rushes to help her boyfriend, knowing he’s going to need it. She finally finds herself nearing the solution after several hurdles but before you know it, Satya gets shot dead. But that’s when the real fun begins! Savi breaks down but soon finds herself in a quantum loop going back to the distressed call before the whole scene happens.
What do we think?
For the viewers who aren’t familiar with the concept of time loops or quantum realities, you may find it to be quite a startle in the beginning. But the movie eases in on you eventually when the case comes in. Taapsee Pannu is already one of this generation’s finest actors and it’s her versatility that we constantly keep falling in love with. Looking back at her performances in films like ‘Pink’, ‘Haseen Dillruba’, you’ll find out that she pays attention to the most minute details and that’s on bearing the mark of a perfectionist.
Tahir Raj Bhasin has been ruling the OTT space ever since we hit 2022 along with earning heart eyes for his performance in 83′. The actor has quickly climbed into the hearts of fans and we’re now anticipating so much more content from him. In Looop Lapeta, Tahir’s performance as Satya is such a contrast to what we’ve seen of him before but he nails the character down to perfection. As expected from him, we loved every bit of Satya and there was absolutely no scope for disappointment.

You’re in for a hilariously romantic ride with Looop Lapeta. It’s a movie to behold and most surely a HIT!
