Filmmaker SS Rajamouli‘s upcoming magnum opus ‘RRR’ stars Jr NTR, Ram Charan, Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn in key roles.
The period action drama was scheduled to hit theatres on January 7, 2022, but has been postponed yet again amid the rising Covid-19 cases.
Set in the 1920s, ‘RRR’ is a fictitious story based on the legendary freedom fighters Alluri Sitarama Raju (played by Ram Charan) and Komaram Bheem (played by Jr NTR). Meanwhile, Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn are reportedly playing cameo roles in this film.
While the reported budget of ‘RRR’ is estimated to be a whopping amount of Rs 400 CRORES, aren’t you guys curious to know Ajay & Alia’s fees for this film?
If this media report is to be believed, Ajay has reportedly been paid a whopping amount of Rs 35 CRORES for his 7 days’ work. On the other hand, Alia’s screen-time is supposedly less than 20 minutes, for which she apparently got paid approximately Rs 9 CRORES.
“At least Alia Bhatt has been paid what she normally charges other producers in Mumbai. Although she has less than twenty minutes of playing-time she is the official leading lady of RRR and has been paid close to Rs. 9 crores for her brief role.”
– a source informed the portal.
The source further added, “Devgn and Alia are the audience-baiters in North India. Over there only Rajamouli sells as the director of Baahubali. But is that enough?”
Meanwhile, the new release is yet to be announced.
