Kartik Aaryan has stepped into Akshay Kumar’s shoes for the ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa’ sequel titled – ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’.
Directed by Anees Bazmee, the comedy horror also features Kiara Advani and Tabu in key roles.
The movie is scheduled to release in theatres on March 25, 2022! Recently, reports started doing rounds that Vidya Balan will reprise her iconic role Monjulika– in the sequel.
An insider had informed a leading daily, “Their equation goes back to 2011, when Vidya made a cameo appearance in Anees’s film Thank You. She made the character of Monjulika, ghost of a royal dancer, memorable. (It is not clear if) Vidya will be seen dancing to Aami je tomar again or appear after the climax.”
However, the makers have apparently refuted such development. As per a media report, ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’ makers have issued a statement, which reads-
“The recent rumours of Vidya Balan being part of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 are untrue. The lead starcast of the film includes Kartik Aaryan, Kiara Advani & Tabu.”
In the Priyadarshan directorial – Bhool Bhulaiyaa – Vidya Balan played the character of Avni who was possessed by the ghost of Monjulika, a classical dancer from Bengal.
