Bollywood diva Ameesha Patel has exciting things on her platter – she will next be seen back on screen with Gadar 2.
Recently, she also hit the headlines for some news on the dating front.
It was being rumoured that Ameesha was allegedly dating Congress Leader Ahmed Patel’s son Faisal Patel. Ameesha had taken to Twitter to wish Faisal on his birthday but his reply sent tongues wagging.
Faisal had tweeted “Thank you, Ameesha. I’m formally proposing in public. Will you marry me?” However, he deleted the tweet later on when their relationship rumours went rife.
Reacting to the viral rumours about her dating Faisal, Ameesha told TOI – “It is hilarious! Faisal and I go back a long way. We have known each other for years. I am friends with him and his sister. That message was just an internal joke between us. There is nothing more to it. I am single and I am happy being single. I am not interested in being in a relationship right now. Faisal is someone who loves to crack these jokes.”
Ameesha further went on to lament how celebs can’t even crack jokes for fear of being taken too seriously.
“I told him that you shouldn’t have deleted the message, and that I would have replied to the post in my style. But he said that he started getting calls from people. You see this is what happens with public figures, you can’t even joke in public.”
