Last month, Nushrratt Bharuccha surprised the fans with her film ‘Chhori’, which is the Hindi remake of the 2017 Marathi horror-thriller ‘Lapachhapi’.
Directed by Vishal Furia, who helmed the original as well, ‘Chhori’ was released on Amazon Prime Video on November 26, 2021.
The story of ‘Chhorii’ apparently revolves around Sakshi, a pregnant lady who is on a quest to save her unborn child from paranormal entities.
Now, following the success of the 1st part, the makers have decided to take the story of ‘Chhorii’ forward with its sequel. Starring Nushrratt Bharuccha in the lead, the sequel – tentatively titled ‘Chhorii 2’ – is scheduled to release in 2023.
Chhorii 2 Announcement:
Today (December 16), the makers have announced ‘Chhorii 2’. While sharing the news, Nushrratt wrote on social media, “It’s your love and encouragement that’s bringing us back! Ecstatic to share with you that the world of Chhorii will get a new edition in 2023. #Chhorii2”
Sharing the excitement of reprising Sakshi’s role in ‘Chhorii 2’, the actress told the media, “I am over the moon with the amazing reactions and success that Chhorii has met with! Chhorii was a significant departure from the work I had previously been a part of and to see the risk being rewarded is such a great feeling. Chhorii is a passion project for all of us and I cannot wait to engage with Vishal and the team as we take the story forward with Chhorii 2.”
