B-Town actors Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan are some of the biggest superstars in Indian cinema.
Both the Khans have been entertaining their fans for over two decades now, and their popularity is just unmatchable.
Today, we’re here with something interesting, which hardcore fans probably didn’t even know about. As we all know that Aamir’s role in ‘3 Idiots’ was earlier offered to SRK but he’d rejected it, did you guys know Aamir was once replaced by SRK in a movie that eventually became a box-office hit?
Yash Chopra’s movie ‘Darr’ (1993), which is a milestone in SRK’s 29-year-old Bollywood career, was reportedly first offered to Aamir. Interestingly, Aamir had liked the script and even had started shooting in the Rajkamal Studios.
According to reports, Aamir had once revealed in an interview that he wanted to do ‘Darr’ but was thrown out of the film because he’d asked too many questions.
According to reports, a film magazine of the early ’90s once supposedly published a story about Yash Chopra had cast Juhi Chawla, Sunny Deol, and Aamir Khan for ‘Darr’, which was previously titled ‘Darr- A Love Story‘Darr’. The magazine further revealed that YRF’s then-head honcho changed his mind because it was sounding too similar to ‘1942: A Love Story’.
Shah Rukh Khan had garnered a lot of praise and appreciation for his performance as the negative role of an obsessed lover in ‘Darr’. Directed by the late filmmaker Yash Chopra, the romantic psychological thriller movie co-starred Juhi Chawla and Sunny Deol in the lead.
