Since its announcement, Akshay Kumar‘s upcoming film ‘OMG 2’ has become the talk-of-the-town.
This movie is a sequel to Akshay’s 2012 blockbuster film ‘Oh My God’, which starred Paresh Rawal in a key role.
This time, Akshay is teaming up with Pankaj Tripathi and Yami Gautam for the Amit Rai directorial. A few days ago, the ‘Sooryavanshi’ actor released the poster of the highly-anticipated sequel. However, some fans were upset as they expected Paresh would reprise his role ‘OMG 2’.
While some reports supposedly claimed that Paresh had allegedly demanded fees way more than his market value, some suspected that his alleged fallout with Akshay might be the reason behind Paresh’s absence from the 2nd part.
Now, during an interview with Bollywood Bubble, the ‘Hera Pheri’ actor has finally revealed the real reason why he rejected the film. While talking about it, Paresh Ji said that he was not satisfied with OMG 2’s storyline and characters.
The actor was quoted saying- “I didn’t like the story… so, I don’t want to be a part of it. If I am not having fun as a character while making a sequel and encashing it, I won’t do it. If you want to make a sequel, do it like Munna Bhai MBBS… make sure there is a leap and quantum… Just like Lage Rao Munna Bhai.”
Meanwhile, Paresh Rawal was recently seen opposite Ratna Pathak Shah in ‘Hum Do Hamare Do’, starring Rajkummar Rao and Kriti Sanon in the lead.
