Yes, Ajay Devgn & Tabu are all set to reunite for the highly-anticipated sequel- ‘Drishyam 2’.
The Hindi version of the Malayalam original (starring Mohanlal), was released in 2015 and became a huge success.
Earlier in February this year, the Malayalam sequel to the crime-thriller was released on Amazon Prime Video. Soon after this, the production house Panorama Studios International acquired the Hindi rights of the sequel.
Now, as per a Peeping Moon report, Ajay Devgn has apparently given his dates from late December for ‘Drishyam 2’. As the report suggests, the actor will wrap up his current projects- ‘Mayday’, ‘Thank God’, ‘Maidaan’, and OTT debut series ‘Rudra’ before he starts shooting for the film.
Ajay & Tabu will be reprising their respective roles as Vijay Salgaonkar & IGP Meera Deshmukh, along with Shriya Saran, Ishita Dutta, Rajat Kapoor, and others.
In the first part, the Salgaonkar family came under suspicion after the death of the Inspector General’s son Sam. The sequel will eventually take the story forward.
Reportedly filmmaker Abhishek Pathak will be directing the sequel as Nishikant Kamat, who had helmed the first part, passed away last year.
