Ajay Devgn‘s upcoming film Maidaan is a biographical sports film based on the golden era of Indian football (1952-1962) and is much awaited by fans!
The movie is directed by Amit Sharma and stars Ajay Devgn as football coach Syed Abdul Rahim.
The makers of Maidaan have now officially joined hands with Hyderabad Football Club that is co-owned by Varun Tripuraneni and actor Rana Daggubati. The main purpose of this partnership, as sourced from a report, is to ensure the encouragement and nurturing of young football talents.
Producer of Maidaan, Boney Kapoor, shares more intel on the joint venture saying, “Our association with Hyderabad FC, is a first-of-its-kind partnership in the industry. It is a natural fit as ‘Maidaan’ brings forward the struggles and victories of Shri Syed Abdul Rahim just the way Hyderabad FC has overcome various challenges to rise from where they were in the league with sheer grit and determination.“
