Deepika Padukone played an acid attack victim in Meghna Gulzar’s Chhapaak – based on real-life survivor Laxmi Agarwal.
The Superstar has now come to the rescue of her Chhapaak co-actor, the acid attack survivor Bala Prajapati with a generous donation!
As per HT, Bala is currently suffering from a massive kidney problem and urgently needs a transplant! She’s failed both her kidneys and is on dialysis right now but her weakened immunity is further adversely impacting her health.
When Deepika came to know of her plight, she donated Rs 15 lakhs to the ‘Save Bala’ campaign, which has been started on the crowd-funding platform Milaap. We hope she successfully gets the transplant and recovers soon.
